Achilles tendinitis

Achilles tendinitis manifests itself as localized pain in the Achilles tendon, located at the back of the heel where it inserts. This pain typically occurs at the start and end of physical activities. In the case of severe inflammation, the Achilles tendon may swell, altering its definition. As swelling subsides, a palpable nodule may appear, exacerbating pain in the tendon.
