Athlete’s foot (Tinea pedis)

Tinea pedis, also known as athlete’s foot, is a dermatological fungal infection.

Moisture and occlusion predispose to tinea pedis.

The skin becomes fragile, flaky, cracked, reddish and itchy. Mainly located between the toes and under the foot. If left untreated, the condition can lead to superinfections, with serious complications.
